I found this an excellent way to traverse an obstacle many designers and writers face – illustrating a book cover when you are NOT an illustrator.
Nathan Brown from WeGraphics.net admits he is not illustrator – no matter how much he would like to be. But when faced with having to create a digital illustration, he didn’t turn the client away. Instead, with a little ingenuity and time, he created an “illustrated” cover that is worthy of the bookshelves.
Nathan takes you through the steps for which he created his book cover. The process still may seem foreign and beyond the capabilities of many, but for you adventuresome folks – I would give it a try.
You have nothing to lose. And who knows? You may end up with an amazing cover design.
Nathan supplies the graphics and Tutorial Steps – so you can actually follow along and create your version of illustrated cover. He even asks you to share your tutorial results on their WeGraphics Facebook page. The work with the most “likes” will win a Premium WeGraphics Account.

Thanks. It is a great idea for non-illustrators.
