In a previous post, Suzanne posted some basics on registering a copyright with the US Copyright Office.
In light of the recent UG interview with Intellectual Rights attorney Karen Bernstein on copyright, I wanted to republish the link the to post and include Suzanne’s copyright registration video here for easy viewing.

Below is a short (5 minute) video on how to register your copyright. I wasn’t able to complete an entire process mainly due to not needing to actually register. However, if you have any questions regarding the process, please let us know and we would be happy to help or contact:

This is the first time I have written a book. It is a biography of my life. Will you please tell me what to do once I have it registered. Do I then send a copy of my book to this office? The book is over 300 pages. After this is done I am going to send the book for publishing. Do I just send the publisher just a copy of the copyright or that plus a copy of the book also? I’m a little unsure of this process. Please e-mail me back telling me what to do.
Thank-you
