Video 9 Validating your EPUB with Threepress.org…
The final stage of your EPUB creation is to validate your epub file. This is a required step for such etailers as Apple’s iBookstore. PLUS – If you want a valid KINDLE version for upload you only need to make a minor modification to your EPUB file. Pretty Cool, HUH?!
- Watch Video (2:46 minutes)
- Go to Threepress.org
- Click the “tools” link
- Browse for your DRM-free EPUB file and click Open for your Book
- Click Validate
TIP: A common error when validating is that your last changes to your EPUB were not saved. Go back to MYBook.epub in SIGIL and save the file, then try the Validating process again.
TIP: Sometimes the Meta Editor information doesn’t stick – and causes an error. Simply redo that Meta Editor step – save your file and revalidate.
If you received any errors that are not covered in our DIY Kit, feel free to contact me.
