Unless you are a high-end publisher, many etailers only accept self-published works through distribution companies, such as Smashwords, Lulu or Author Solutions. Amazon and Barnes & Noble accept self-published titles directly from authors.

I would also check with reviews on your company considerations. Some have had issues dropping books unexpectedly from Amazon, or have had other problems. So do your homework before choosing your distribution company..
If are on currently e-published to Amazon and B&N, then I recommend you go to a third-party distribution company and select the other e-tail companies you want to distribute. This allows you to cover more of the ebook world without risking the main share of the emarket (ie/ Amazon).
