Video 3 Using DIY Kit Formatting Template with SIGIL…
In this segment you will use the FormattingTemplate.xhtml file that came with your Diy Formatting Kit. It includes the copyright page, table of contents, acknowledgment page and about the author pages – all pre-formatted.

This section is very easy and short. The Tutorial and step-by-step Video show how add your Word HTML content to the Formatting Template using SIGIL.
If you have not downloaded and installed SIGIL yet, please do so before proceeding with this tutorial. (link opens to a new window)
- Watch the Video (4:38 minutes)
- Open Sigil Program
- Open the FormattingTemplate.xhtml that came with your Formatting Kit into SIGIL
- Go to your Word to HTML conversion (Video 2). Highlight (Cmd+A, Ctrl+A) and Copy (Cmd+C, Ctrl+C) the content.
- Paste (Cmd+V, Ctrl+V) the content below the line

TIP: You have to choose “SAVE AS” the first time saving your EPUB file. SIGIL will not save an XHTML file.
