Q: How do you remove the cover from displaying on Amazon’s Look Inside feature?
What is Amazon’s Look Inside feature?
With Amazon’s Look Inside feature, customers are able to preview Kindle book samples online before purchasing, by clicking on cover image with the “Click to Look Inside” logo. In this case it is very important to put your best information up front as only 10% of the book is displayed or offered in the Sample download.
This type of online previewing is automatically enabled when an ebook is published with KDP. Typically, the “Look Inside” feature is enabled 1 weeks after the book is made available for purchase.
If you have a print book enrolled in the Look Inside the Book program, both print and Kindle versions will be available for online previewing.
Answer:
Unfortunately, the book cover is automatically inserted in Amazon’s Look Inside feature based on the book cover upload. However, the Look Inside for print is handled differently than for ebooks.
You can have certain pages removed from the sample by contacting KDP support. Again, however, it is up to Amazon whether or not to make these changes (or not).
